Privacy policy

Effective August 24, 2026

On-device processing

TakeAudio processes videos on your device. No account is required, and the app does not upload your videos or exported audio. The Android release contains no Internet permission and no analytics, advertising, telemetry, or remote-config SDK.

Files you choose

TakeAudio receives access only to a video that you explicitly select or share. The original video is opened read-only and is not modified, moved, renamed, overwritten, or deleted. If a provider cannot give stable read access for an export, TakeAudio may make a temporary private copy and removes it after success, cancellation, or failure.

Saved audio and local history

Successful audio files are saved through Android MediaStore to Music / TakeAudio only after they are reopened, decoded, and validated. TakeAudio keeps local history for verified outputs that remain readable. You can remove a history entry without deleting its audio file, or explicitly delete the audio file from within the app.

Data sharing and retention

TakeAudio does not collect or share personal data with the developer. Local temporary data is deleted at the end of an export. Android and apps you choose through the system Sharesheet may apply their own privacy practices after you initiate sharing.
