Choosing a video

Tap Choose a video, then select one local video. You can also share one video to TakeAudio from another Android app.

Full audio or a clip

Use Extract full audio to keep the complete audio track. Use Trim a clip instead to set exact start and end times against real frames and a waveform decoded from the selected audio track.

Saved files

Verified exports appear in Music / TakeAudio. Delete audio file removes both the actual file and its TakeAudio history entry. Remove from TakeAudio removes only local history and leaves the audio file in place.

Unsupported videos

A video may be rejected when it has no usable audio, is protected, is damaged, or uses a codec or channel layout that the device cannot safely decode or convert. Original-quality M4A is usually faster than MP3 because compatible AAC audio can be copied without re-encoding.
