Terms of use

Use of TakeAudio

Use TakeAudio only with videos and audio that you own or are authorized to process. You are responsible for complying with applicable copyright, privacy, and other laws.

Supported behavior

TakeAudio extracts or trims compatible, unprotected local media. Codec and channel-layout support depends on the Android device. The app does not download online videos, bypass digital rights management, or modify the source video.

Your files

You control the videos you select and the audio files you export. Review the filename, format, selected range, and destination before starting an export. TakeAudio validates an output before making it visible in Music / TakeAudio.

Availability

The app is provided without a guarantee that every container, codec, or damaged file will work on every device. Important source media should be backed up independently.

Open-source components

TakeAudio includes LAME under the GNU Library General Public License, version 2, or (at your option) any later version. You may modify LAME for your own use and reverse engineer TakeAudio only to the extent necessary to debug modifications to that LGPL-covered library. The exact corresponding source, notices, and relinking instructions are available on the open-source page.
